Which Subjects Are Available Under BU Non-JUPAS?

BU Non-JUPAS Application Requirements

Admission Requirements for Various Qualifications

For example, for students admitted in 2025, approximately half of the students had IB scores ranging from 30 to 35, a noticeable increase from last year's range of 29 to 31, reflecting the rising demands and competition for BU Non-JUPAS [1]. Application Process for Current Mainland Gaokao Students to Apply for BU Non-JUPAS

Current Mainland Gaokao students (including repeat students) must apply for admission through HKBU's Mainland Admission Scheme, whereas those holding results from previous Gaokao sessions should refer to the aforementioned Non-JUPAS scheme to apply to BU. Below are the steps for Mainland students applying to HKBU:

  1. Complete the application form on the online application system and upload the relevant documents
  2. Pay the application fee of HK$450 [2]

Admission Scores for Mainland Gaokao Students

HKBU requires that Mainland students applying through Non-JUPAS achieve at least the score threshold for their respective province's first batch of key universities (the first batch line), with an English score requirement of at least 110 points [2]. HKBU reports that approximately 94.16% of the admitted students in 2025 scored more than 30 points above the first batch line, and about 84.2% scored more than 50 points above it, which can serve as a reference and target for students [3].

As for when BU Non-JUPAS offers will be released, they are generally issued progressively after the conclusion of the main round of applications.
