The cost of studying at Columbia University includes tuition and fees, accommodation and meals, and several one-time charges for first-year students (such as registration and personal expenses). To alleviate the financial burden, Columbia University awards over $225 million in financial aid each year. Approximately half of all incoming students receive support, with the average aid package amounting to $72,265. Notably, students from families with an annual income below $150,000 may qualify for a full tuition waiver, ensuring that financial circumstances do not impede access to education.[18]
