Students in this group will be charged 730 Swiss Francs per semester and eligibility includes:

  • Students with Swiss or Liechtensteiner nationality
  • Students who resided in Switzerland or Liechtenstein (regardless of nationality) when obtaining their university entrance qualification (e.g., Matura, Abitur, etc.)
  • Students with EU/European Free Trade Association citizenship holding a B, L, or G residence permit with the right to work, or a C residence permit

Triple Tuition (Group 2)

All students not qualifying for the simplified tuition scheme will be required to pay 2,190 Swiss Francs per semester. [4]

ETH Zurich will review student status prior to admission; if a student is allocated to the triple tuition group but believes they meet the criteria for simplified tuition, they may submit an application for reassignment by a specified date. However, this must be completed before the semester begins, and no further reallocations will occur during the course of study.
